Who we are
Mayson Science Inc. operates this website. For anything on this page, including a request to see or delete your data, use thecontact form and say so in your message — it reaches us directly.
If you use the contact form
We store what you type — your name, email address, and whatever optional details you give us (organisation, role, country, the kind of work, your timeline) along with your message. We also record which page you submitted from, the referring page, and the country Cloudflare reports for your connection.
We use it to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. A copy is emailed to us; the message itself is stored in our database so that a mail failure cannot lose it. We do not sell it, and we do not pass it to anyone outside the company.
If you register for case studies
We store your name, work email, organisation, country or region, optional role, and the reason you gave for wanting access — plus which version of this notice you accepted.
Your verification code is never stored. We keep only a SHA-256 hash of it, which cannot be turned back into the code, and we delete even that once you have used it.
We record which case studies each registered person opens. We use this to understand what is useful and to know who has seen what. If that is not acceptable to you, do not register — the rest of the site does not track you.
If you use the Map page
Searches are not stored against your account. We keep no record of which postal codes you look up or which results you see.
If you switch on email alerts, we store the postal code, the distance and the programme you asked about, alongside your email address, so we can tell you when something opens. You can turn that off from the link at the bottom of any alert email, without signing in. We send at most one alert email a day.
Access to that page is limited to university and college addresses. Whether your address qualifies is worked out when you register and stored as a yes or no — we do not keep any other information about your institution.
IP addresses
We never store your IP address. We store a salted SHA-256 hash of it, used only to rate-limit abuse. The salt is a server-side secret, so the hash cannot be matched back to an address by anyone holding the database.
Cookies
We set one cookie, and only if you register: a signed session token that keeps you signed in for 30 days. It contains your email address and nothing else. There are no advertising or analytics cookies on this site.
Your browser may also store your light/dark theme preference locally. That never reaches our servers.
Who processes this for us
The site runs on Cloudflare, which hosts the pages and the database and sees requests as they pass through. Transactional email — verification codes and the copy of your enquiry — is sent through Resend. Our own mail runs on Google Workspace.
How long we keep it
Registrations are kept while the account is in use. Enquiries are kept so we can follow up on the conversation. Ask us to delete either and we will, and we will confirm when it is done.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the contact formand we will respond. If you opted in to hearing what we publish, you can opt out at any time by replying to any message.
